Arthur Chew has been actively working as an engineer managing teams since 1999. Upon graduation from Princeton University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1995, Arthur worked in the field of education. He then began work in the management of the building operations for the Wells Fargo Center, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall, and the Spectrum overseeing a multi-million dollar budget and operations for all events including direct management of union and non-union employees. With in-depth management experience gained he moved onto his true passion of engineering, working with several recognized private engineering firms.
Arthur is a licensed professional engineer and professional planner in the state of New Jersey. He served as the City Engineer in Ocean City, NJ for ten years. Arthur is a certified municipal engineer as well as a certified public works manager which has enable him to assist numerous municipalities. In addition, Arthur is a certified floodplain manager which enables him to help save property owners millions of dollars annually in flood insurance premiums through his work with the FEMA CRS program. Currently, Arthur is providing engineering services to Brigantine, Ventnor, and Margate in association with their capital programs. Previouisly, he worked with Little Egg Harbor, Monmouth Beach, Ocean City, and Tuckerton on three different National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grants that enhanced the environment and habitat for numerous species as well as provide shore protection and flood protection to the surrounding communities.
Arthur lives in Linwood, NJ with his wife and three children. He is actively involved with his children in youth activities in the community. In addition, he spends time with Project Lead the Way as a volunteer providing engineering guidance to schoolteachers in Ocean City.
Jerry is a well versed project manager with over 21 years of experience. He has been intimately involved in the design and construction of a plethora of projects. These projects include renovations to historic buildings, roof replacements, building design/construction, boardwalk construction, road reconstruction, bicycle/nature trail development/construction and recreation facility development/construction.
Jerry is a Vietnam era veteran of the United States Army and currently lives in Upper Township Cape May County. His passions include photography, nature, motorcycles, martial arts, drawing, home improvement, and playing the guitar.
Paul has 20 years of construction experience that ranges from marine construction to concrete work to site improvements. He has hands on knowledge of proper construction practices.
Paul enjoys spending his free time exercising and cooking.
Scott is formally educated as an engineer (attending Penn State and receiving his bachelor of science in engineering from Trenton State aka College of New Jersey). He used his engineering training and applied it to many local professions. Initially, he co-managed Surfer Supplies in the 80s until he was hired by the Ocean City Fire Department in 1990. Scott brings his 26 years experience as a firefighter as well as 16 years as an officer to your job site so safety is always in his eyes for you and your employees. Scott also has experience as a local realtor, construction worker, winter watch/property manager, and a senior equipment operator for the City of Ocean City. All of Scott's varied experiences allow him to guarantee that his inspection sites are constructed correctly, safely, and professionally.
Scott has three passions in his life. Primarily his family that consists of his wife of over a quarter a century and three kids (ages 23, 21, and 12) plus his two dogs (ages 1 and 1). His other two passions are surfing and exercise. Scott exercises some way or form daily. He also surfs almost every day year-round. Scott enjoys being outside and traveling to faraway places to surf. Staying healthy and happy is the key to life.
Frank is locally educated starting at St. Josephs Parochial School in Somers Point then on to Mainland Regional High School and Stockton State College. He started his career with his family concrete business. After three years in the Navy on a nuclear submarine, Frank moved on to work in local government for over 25 years as a public works supervisor and a project manager. He received numerous certifications in concrete construction, road construction, and project management.
Frank enjoys sailing in the summer, alpine skiing in the winter, and motorcycle touring. He frequently travels for enjoyment and to visit his daughters. Frank enjoys life and loves to sing and cook.
Vincent is a 2019 graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in engineering. In his time since graduation, he has obtained experience in geotechnical engineering and the design of septic systems. He has great interest in civil, environmental, and packaging engineering. He enjoys spending his free time reading, gaming, and playing the guitar.
Eric has been in the engineering industry for over 21 years. His experience with companies such as Atwell, TMX, CMX Engineering, and School DePalma Engineering has led him to work for Arthur Chew Consulting starting in 2018. Eric’s specific behind-the-scenes duties involve blueprints, drafting, zoning maps, exhibit maps, planning profiles, telecommunications, cell towers, antennas, and roof layouts. His favorite responsibility includes planning the profiles of jobs, which involves the layout of the road with dimensions and elevations. His love for engineering began at a young age with his interest in drawing. Eric attended Ocean City High School in Ocean City, NJ and graduated from Vocational Technical School in Mays Landing, NJ. He has a Drafting certification and is AutoCAD certified. Eric is a cancer survivor and now lives with his family in Somers Point. His current passions include being a member of the Somers Point Volunteer Fire Department. His tasks and interests within the firehouse involve engineering and vehicle driving. He was Vice President for the department, as well. Eric also has a passion for camping and loves to travel during his free time.
